For the first time in history, there was a sound produced by the wind from Mars – Télam

NASA posted online the sound of the vibrations generated by the Martian gusts against the sensors of the InSight spacecraft, which descended on the red planet on November 26.

NASA scientists reported that the wind was between 5 and 7 meters per second, from northwest to southeast, and was recorded and transmitted to Earth on 1 December.

The audio was produced thanks to two extremely faithful sensors, one of pressure and another of earthquakes, which record the vibrations in the base and arm of the InSight. Its sound has been increased by two octaves to make it more audible and it is recommended to use a speaker to listen better.
