December 1 is World AIDS Day. In this context, on Friday, November 30 a rapid test for HIV / AIDS, syphilis and viral hepatitis will be held in San Martín square. The test is voluntary, confidential and free and the result is in 20 minutes. The activity will be conducted from 10 to 16 and will have pre and post test counseling and counseling, delivery of materials and condoms. In addition, there will be an open radio run by La Ranchada and artistic and cultural presentations.
The importance of diagnosis
The HIV test is the only way to know if you live with the virus or not. Knowing the diagnosis facilitates access to treatments, which in Argentina are free and guarantee a good quality of life. On the other hand, the offer of the HIV test is part of the diagnostic expansion strategy aimed at reducing the number of people who do not know their serological status.
