Durban – Sharks center Marius Louw The player was banned from Super Rugby for three weeks after admitting he made a dangerous attack last weekend, organizers said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred during a 28-14 victory over the Sharks over the Melbourne Rebels in Durban and the suspension means he will lose matches against the Bulls, Lions and Jaguars.

A statement from Super Rugby said the foul fell within the six-week ban, but Louw's immediate admission of guilt and his good judicial record were extenuating factors.

Louw usually throws off the bench to the sharks with Springboks Lukhanyo Am and Andre Esterhuizen the first choice centers of coach Robert du Preez.
