Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The announcement was accompanied by the first filming of the newest Pokémon title and the revelation of what will happen in the region of Galar.

We also got a glimpse of the new entries of grass, fire and water – the Chimp Pokemon Grookey, the Rabbit Pokemon Scorbunny and the Water Lizard Pokemon Sobble.

The trailer featured Pokémon battles, beautiful scenarios, weather effects and more.

As for the Galar region, it is said to contain many environments, including "idyllic landscapes, contemporary cities, dense forests and steep, snow-capped mountains."

Coaches will still be training their Pokémon and fighting in Gymnasiums, all while working to win the Champion title and become the best, as no one ever was.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will be released worldwide on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019.
