DAKAR, Senegal – Congo's Ministry of Health says four confirmed Ebola patients are missing after an attack on Wednesday at a treatment center in the town of Butembo.

It was the second attack on an Ebola treatment center last week. Burglars attacked another center on Sunday in Katwa, killing one person and wounding another

The ministry said on Wednesday night that 32 of Ebola's 38 suspected patients had fled. Those found, including eight confirmed to have Ebola, were all temporarily transferred to another center.

The ministry is looking at the four missing patients, who are highly infectious.

Health workers in this region of continuous insecurity in the Congo fought for the confidence of local communities.

At least 488 Ebola deaths were confirmed in the country's 10th outbreak.
