Mahumapelo joins the court offer to restore the northwestern executive committee

Johannesburg – The Supreme Court of South Gauteng will hear Friday of a former Northwest Prime Minister Supra Mahumapelo and several African National Congress (ANC) requests to lift the decommissioning of the Provincial National Implementation Committee (PEC) three months ago.

The ANC top brass fired Mahumapelo in response to violent protests that plagued corruption in the province and deteriorated service delivery. A provincial task force (PTT) was created to guide the province and include Mahumapelo.

President Cyril Ramaphosa called 70-year Job Mokgoro as PTT convention and actor premiere. However, Mahumapelo later abandoned the PTT and continued to sink into the political wilderness.

One of the four applicants, Aron Motswana, told the eNCA television news channel that Mahumapelo would confirm their case to the court bid. He was a member of the former premier Dali Mpofu's lawful eagle defense service.

"This really affirms our case and provides a further advantage in Dali Mpofu SC, the most brilliant legal spirit in our country. [Mahumapelo] will give us more information, has vast experience as a leader of the province, "said Motswana.

"People who have been given the PTT have been fighting for the Supra comrades for almost 18 years and have never done any work at ANC … all they did was make a sneer accusation against Supra.

The applicants claim in the court documents that the NEC National Board of Arbitration had no legitimate reason for the dissolution of the provincial structure.
