Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool can line up for the English League game against Newcastle United midweek.
Liverpool continue their ownership in the Premier League on Wednesday night with a home game against Leicester City.
The Reds won consecutive games before the 11-day break, which took them to Dubai for warm-weather training.
Jurgen Klopp I will be grateful to see some regulars return for the midweek selection, but there are also gaps that need to be addressed – namely on the right side.
On here, Sports Mole look how Liverpool can line up against Leicester at Anfield.
Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee), Joe Gomez (ankle), Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee), James Milner (suspended)
Doubtful: Dejan Lovren (hamstrings), Georginio Wijnaldum (knee), Virgil van Dijk (disease)
Alexander-Arnold and Gomez have knee and ankle injuries, respectively, while Nathaniel Clyne was sent for loan earlier this month.
To make matters worse for Klopp, the man in charge of temporarily filling the right-back, the versatile Milner, got a red card in the victory over Crystal Palace, then Fabinho is the most likely candidate to fall into the backline.
Klopp has plenty of coverage in the midfield, however, Wijnaldum hopes to return from a knee problem in time to appear.
Elsewhere, Lovren returned to training after spending time away, but may be given more time before being thrown back next to van Dijk, who has fought against the disease.
