Cloudflare launches VPN that speeds up its Internet

Cloudflare has announced its new Warp VPN service, which aims to improve security and performance while browsing the Internet.

The company said that the VPN was built using the knowledge gained with the development of its DNS service and was designed to be "a VPN for people who do not know what the V.P.N. supports".

Warp VPN can be activated from application, ensuring all Internet traffic running on the smartphone, while respecting the privacy of end-to-end encryption.

"Unfortunately, much of the Internet is not yet encrypted," Cloudflare said.

"To do this, Warp automatically adds the encryption of your device to the edge of the Cloudflare network."

Improved performance

Cloudflare added that Warp distinguishes itself from other VPNs because of its performance and reliability.

"While other VPNs slow down the Internet, Warp incorporates all the work Neumob's team has done to improve the performance of the mobile Internet."

The company said it leveraged Cloudflare's global network and a UDP-based protocol optimized for mobile traffic to deliver higher performance.

"Our tests have shown that Warp often significantly increases Internet performance. Generally, the worse your network connection, the better Warp should do its performance. "

The basic version of Warp VPN is included as an option with the mobile application for free, and the company said it is working on a premium version that will be even faster.
