DJ Sbu responded to the social media storm that surfaced around him after he claimed to "represent the continent" in an informal memorial that was conducted by community members for the late American musip Nipsey Hussle, who was shot dead on Sunday.
Sbu, who is currently in America, made statements at the death site of Nipsey in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, and shared several videos of the memorial, including his speech.
Soon, social media was filled with comments from people claiming that the businessman and musician was trying to steal the spotlight.
The incident caused him to appear on Twitter all Wednesday while fans evaluated his speech.
A fan went straight to Sbu's Twitter to ask him who had appointed him as Africa's ambassador, prompting a lecture from the master himself.
"I named it myself. The day you start travelingFor other continents, only then will you understand that as soon as you leave your home country or continent, you automatically represent where you are from. "
He said that it was not up to the others to indicate it, but rather a position he took on duty.
"No one has to elect you. It's your conscience that should take action," he added.
He also shared several posts from people who supported him and his decision to represent Mzansi and Africa at the event before sharing another post on how to get elected.
